Public-private Coordination With the Embassy of Romania to the United States

TeoStan

FOURTH CONFERENCE OF ROMANIAN AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS

VESTED IN WEAVING SOCIAL COHESION

2nd Day, Opening of the Consecutive Interdisciplinary Panels Session, Dec. 3rd 2022

The second day opening session provided an opportunity to introduce Cristina Monica Kassai, newly appointed political officer covering the education and academic portfolios for the Embassy of Romania to the United States (chritina.kassai@mae.ro ). It was also an occasion to acknowledge the work of professionals within the diplomatic mission and to welcome the remarks by Minister Counselor Adrian Tudorache, who over the years coordinated the relationship with the Romanian American academic diaspora. It is important to highlight the excellent working relationship and the seamless coordination, especially in providing relevant factual information in crisis situations such as the immediate aftermath of the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the ensuing refugee assistance efforts within Romania. This year marks 25 years of the Strategic Partnership between the United States and Romania and this public-private coordination stands as testimony to the shared values and vision nurtured though such people-to-people ties that underpin a strong trust-based alliance.
