Jessica Miller is administrator of the Center for Eurasian, Russian, East European Studies at Georgetown University. After completing a Fulbright grant to Romania she thought in various secondary schools in Timişoara and Bucharest getting to know first-hand the education system in the country. She continues to monitor the evolution of the education system there during the pandemic years and especially this year in handling the influx of Ukrainian refugee children. Her presentation focuses on the excellent collaboration between the Romanian Ministry of Education and its Ukrainian counterpart in assisting refugee children, hosting and providing access to Ukrainian language education.
