Opening Plenary Session, June 4th 2021
The final speaker in the opening session of the conference was Jackson Howard, the Regional Coordinator for the EURAXESS North America platform, the platform hosted by the European Union’s Delegation in Washington designed to coordinate interaction with the scientific diasporas of all member states, especially the grant recipients of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions and the European Research Council. This information dense presentation explained the structure for international research funding at a European level, the efforts of linking researchers in North American and Europe, the dissemination of funding opportunities and information on research career development through transnational mobility.
